Benjamin J. Lasee M.D.

Dr. Lasee is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who focuses his practice on all areas of general orthopedic care, including acute injury and fracture care throughout the upper and lower extremities. Dr. Lasee has additional fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery and maintains a truly comprehensive orthopedic practice that treats conditions ranging from the shoulders down to the toes.

Dr. Lasee received his Bachelor of Science degree with Honors at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He attended the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee where he received his Doctorate of Medicine with Honors. During the course of his studies, he was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, which inducts only the top 20% of a graduating class each year. Dr. Lasee went on to complete a comprehensive Orthopaedics residency at the Medical College which focused on all areas of patient care including, knees, shoulders, trauma, hand, foot and ankle and pediatrics. He went on to receive additional training through a fellowship program with internationally recognized orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Thomas San Giovanni, Miami Ankle Foot International Associates, affiliated with Doctor’s Hospital in Miami, Florida. During this fellowship he gained experience in complex surgery throughout the forefoot, midfoot, and hindfoot; which included ankle arthroscopy, ankle replacement and reconstructive surgery. This program focused on acute and chronic conditions such as trauma, arthritis, deformity and other disorders of bone, cartilage, tendon and nerves. While there, he helped take care of patients in all walks of life including professional athletes, providing coverage to the Miami Dolphins, Florida Panthers and Miami Heat.

In addition to his clinical practice here at Comprehensive Orthopaedics, Dr. Lasee also spends one day each month working at the Clement J Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee . While there, he helps care for our veterans and works with and helps train the orthopedic surgery residents at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Lasee enjoys living in the community he serves with his wife and their three sons. Their family remains very active in the area through volunteering and sports, and loves to take their rescue dog, a Great Pyrenees named Mostaccioli, on long hikes or walks through the neighborhood.
